Good news! The new book Wearable Vintage Fashion co-authored by Clare Bridge and published by Vivays is out now!

To celebrate we’re having a launch party at The Brown Derby Pub in London (nearest tube is Oval) this Saturday 21st April from 8pm. The party will feature a dressing up box, (think comedy wigs, moustaches, and amusing vintage items!) performances by Tricity Vogue and Jake Vegas, cupcakes and makeovers by the ladies from Lipstick & Curls. The main focus of my work these days is vintage themed and inspired, as I organise Vintage & Craft Fairs in Worcester as WAVE, work with vintage boutique Second Hand Rose and as previously mentioned my next book is about vintage fashion, which will be published next year.

Here’s some more info about the new book and how you can contribute:

Combining their passion and knowledge of vintage clothing plus Clare’s experience of owning/running a vintage shop and Jo’s background as an arts author with four books already under her belt, they’ll be producing a new book focusing on everyday, affordable, accessible vintage fashion with lots of tips on vintage styling!

The second half of the book will look at vintage street style and here’s how you can contribute! Do you mix vintage items into your everyday wardrobe and have a unique, super stylish look that’s all your own? Then we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for photo submissions, preferably outdoor, street-fashion type shots from vintage loving fashionistas all over the world!

Email photos taken on the highest setting possible (so they’ll be big enough to use in print without pixelating, preferably 300dpi), and think about lighting and background in the pictures so they’re as clear as possible. Then EMAIL YOUR PHOTOS TO US! Please include your name and where you’re based, and if we can use your picture we’ll be back in touch with a few questions about your style and inspirations!

I’ll be using it for my current work organising Vintage & Craft Fairs in Worcester, working with Second Hand Rose Vintage Boutique and for all things vintagey and crafty that take my fancy.
